How can we help?

My Roost smart battery has missed a check in and has low battery level

If you receive a notice that your Smart Battery missed a check-in and had a low battery at its last check you have two issues to address.

Firstly, you need to have your device check in so that the Roost Cloud can read a current power level. Please follow these steps:

  1. Press the test button on your alarm with the Roost Smart Battery for at least 10 seconds. You should receive a notification of this alarm on your smartphone.
  2. If you do not receive a notification, please reset your Wi-Fi router (or Access Point) by powering it off, waiting 30 seconds, and powering back on. Then test your alarm again.
  3. If you still do not receive a notification on your smartphone, then remove the Roost Smart Battery from your alarm. Remove the bottom Smart Module, wait 5 seconds, then reattach the Smart Module. Listen for a single beep. If you do not hear a single beep approximately 5 seconds after re-attaching the Smart Module, please contact Roost Support.

If your battery is able to connect to the Roost Cloud, it will update its power level in your app within 24 hours. If your battery power is still low, please see our article: My Roost Smart Battery's power level is low.
